Transitional Care Unit
 The
Transitional Care Unit (TCU) at Parsons Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation
Center is designed to provide specialized orthopedic and sub-acute
rehabilitation to patients needing post-operative care within
a distinctive, set-apart unit. With a designed scope of rehabilitative
care, the TCU at Parsons Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
helps patients to regain strength and restore function in order
to return home.
Our state

- Unit pre-admission program.
- Semi-private rooms with satellite
television, private telephones, individually controlled air conditioning.
- Distinctive unit with private
entrance.
- Solarium including a recreational
sitting area with aquarium and Internet.
- Fully equipped Rehabilitation
(Rehab) Room with apartment to simulate home situations, social
interaction, life skills and routines.
- Professional staff, with additional
medical specialists.
- Comprehensive discharge summaries
sent to PCP and surgeons.
- Intensive patient and family
education to ease transition from unit to home.
